Harem, Cult
Start your own cult.
At some point, as people lose faith in the church, you decide to start your own religion as substitute.
A few goals of this arc.
The main goal of this arc is to show how dedicated and loyal your followers are to continue your legacy after you're gone and their intense love and worship for you. It's to give the player a sense of super power trip and fulfillment, satisfaction, that everything they do is super meaningful, that your legacy is protected. To that end, the cult is:
- The cult is dedicated to the worship of you, not a religious idea or theoretical deity. It's to worship, YOU.
- The cult is low effort during your play time. You didn't put a ton of foundation into it, your girls did all the work in making it as strong, institutionalized, and durable as it is. It is their gift to you and an expression of their loyalty. You only get to see how awesome it is during the sequel or epilogue.
- The cult is very large by the sequel, and sets up for an easy and immediate power trip for your return, though your return probably has you starting from not having your identity immediately revealed.
- The power and concept of the cult is way more meaningful if people are brought into the cult, people who have their own lives and goals and legacies become subsumed in their obsession with you, and replaces their prior obligations with the goal of expanding your cult. R4 for example, but other queens too. The key here is that they had other goals and missions in life and are not total slaves.
Harem
Ideas in Harem
Official Harem members are known as Lyxion MC, where Lyxion means "the exclusive property of", so Lyxion MC means those who belong to the MC. It's a title that the members love and fight for. You don't give out the title like candy though, reserving it only for a couple of your favorites.
Harem members, once inducted into the harem/cult has peculiar lines of thinking. "High effort love". They compare themselves to your wife, who is needy and desires love. They think of themselves as superior because they work harder to love you and understand you, they think about you obsessively to an extent that your wife cannot match, and because they put in more effort they think their love will win out in the end.
Self punishment. Harem members are extremely self critical and have very high standards for service. If they think they mess up they beg for punishment. They don't even tell you they're being punished but go directly to the torture room to confess their sins. Ex: service scene, choice of fruit. A harem girl sees that when you're being given fruit at night while you're reading in bed they give you only certain fruits like bananas. She takes it upon herself to increase your fruit variety by giving you pre-cut oranges. She is horrified to see that when you eat the oranges it gets your fingers sticky and sees your annoyed expression as you wipe them off on her clothing. She quickly realizes why certain fruits are not to be served and feels shame at not having predicted that. She sends herself to be punished.
Peace and quiet. Harem members understand that their role is to give you pleasure, comfort and peace. They're not there to give you problems or overwhelm you with their desires. They have specific rules and limitations around begging for sex. They mainly communicate through their journals. They develop into great writers who pour out all their thoughts and love into a journal that you can read on your own time, quicker than a conversation would be. If they have issues or complaints they can express them in the journal, allowing you the choice to avoid the issues or address them however you like. You get used to reading these intense, expressive journals that reveal these girls inner worlds.
