Cult of Hana

Cult of Hana is a religion that believes a person named Hana is the True Empress of Kpor, C2. The real C2 had disappeared into a hidden Palace built on the gateway to Annilm and is in hibernation. The existence of C2 is thought by some of as a legend. The Cult of Hana is widely seen as crazy today but had many adherents historically.

The historical Hana was already a fake, but was a real person that existed. She was caught and killed, burned alive. However, since she is said to be immortal there are many who claim to either have seen her or have saved her.

Sects

Miliren

The Miliren believes that Hana was never killed and was infact captured and taken into Kpor by the Yan priests. They think that Hana is still watching over them from captivity. They would like to "rescue" Hana, but the only reason they haven't is because they think Hana is content in captivity and that Hana prefers peace. Rather they try to divine Hana's messages, which they think can be found in the SCN.

They are so named after the SCN location called Miliren, where Hanans claimed to have received contact from Hana.

The Eight

The Eight are a sect of Hanans who existed several hundred years after Hana died. They were a group of 8 leaders who claimed to each carry 1/8th of the soul of Hana for revival. They claim to be able to revive Hana into a vessel if they take the Throne of Night and Day.

Historically The Eight was destroyed, having never taken Kpor. But in modern times The Eight is an established Church in the island Kingdom of Veriques, the opposite end of the continent from Kpor.

The royalty of Veriques converted to The Eight long ago, and used it as a point of legitimacy, as a founding story. Today the King of Veriques is careful not to sound too fundamentalist in public, as there are many in the world who are quite uncomfortable with the fundamentally aggressive theology of The Eight.
