Slave Trading Companies

Slavery Overview

Solfrey cannot be enslaved. Solfrey slavery was abolished in the very first Rights of Solfrey.

Slaves come from these 4 sources:

  • War
  • Cult of Yan
  • Legal criminal punishment from certain countries
  • Breeding

It is not allowed to just enslave people randomly. Slaves have their souls registered in the Yan database and most mages can access that database and tell you if someone is a slave. Slaves can only be registered by a Yan priest.

Overview

There are 4 tiers of slave trading companies.

Global

There are 4 companies who can operate globally with 32% marketshare. They have their own militaries, they participate in wars to capture enemies as slaves, and have in house priests who can both enslave people as they see fit and register them immediately. They're all fully vertically integrated, with breeding, trafficking, training, and marketing all handled in-house.

Of the four, two of them were already operating during the Fall of Qiangdi and benefited enormously from it. There were 7 main slave companies who participated during that affair and the 2 survivors acquired the 5 others.

The other two are relatively newer companies that grew to global status relatively recently.

  • Solis & An
  • Moonwind Trading House
  • Meridex
  • Bikun Resource Corp
  • Slave Training Group of Qiangdi (STGQ)
  • Forester

Regional

Majority 60% of marketshare is controlled by the ~20 companies that operate slave trading businesses regionally.

Smaller and being less vertically integrated, and frequently missing some component of the business.

They tend to not have militaries and cannot participate in wars. They tend to buy slaves from the global companies and rely more on buying criminals than self breeding. Sometimes they are subsidiaries or arms of other businesses.

  • Ascendis Corp

Boutique

Boutique firms offer niche services. 3%.

  • Amber Chain Talent Solutions

Local

Local firms have only estimated 5% marketshare. A lot of the time they work with unregistered slaves due to lack of access to Yan priests.
