Social Classes
Stratism, Trinitism, Dualism, and Unism, these are the names for social class systems.
Stratism is the name given to the status quo by modern political thinkers, of a social structure consisting of these classes:
The Yan Noble Solfrey Solfrey Middle Class The Loyalists The Hila The Commoners The Slaves
Yan writers have called this "The Great Chain", and it's usually represented as a chain where the ends come close to one another (but not meet). Stratism would be more of a critical name created by the opposition.
Some reformers and thinkers, primarily from the Solfrey bourgeoisie, have called for reform into Trinitism or Dualism. The idea is to flatten out the differences within the classes.
Trinitism would be Solfrey, Loyalist, Commoners. Dualism would be just Solfrey and Commoners.
Trinitism is defended in books and stories like "Hila's Hope" and is formed from the . While Dualism makes the most sense from a purely logical POV, deriving from the Rights of Solfrey which makes no mention of 7 classes, just 2.
There is also Unism, but it is seen as heretical, and it requires you to totally abandon the Yan scripture of the Commoner and Solfrey divide, and isn't mainstream. But it's a thought experiment some, including the MC, engage in even if they're not prepared nor have the incentive to actually take that step.
Dualism and Trinitism are largely allies. People who are Stratists are opposed to both. Dualists are largely okay with Trinitists as a "stepping stone" to Dualism while Trinitism is less appreciative of Dualism. Cinean Sung and some in the Haruen Circle are generally Dualists.
