Day of Loyalty

Description: Yan religious holiday.

Day where the loyalists go with their parents to meet their Solfrey parent. They hang out and get to know each other. The parents are supposed to treat the children well and give them support, if not financial then emotional.

Became a tradition after the cycles and loyalists interpretation became widespread. Culture: Kpor Empire

Defense of the Old Capital Day

Description: Celebrates the day when R3 defeats the demons at the old capital in a very significant battle. According to official mythology that day was the turning point and saved the war, but that's considered untrue by the Sica, it was Yan Hui's battlefield victories elsewhere that drove the demons to desperation to do a last ditch attack on a city that was too hard to take. Description: People go watch performances celebrating the history of the royal family. Culture: Piyse

Two Moons

Description: C1, the greatest mage who was said to have ever lived, as a child created an illusion of a second moon in the sky as a prank, causing mass panic across the world, people thought it may be the end of the world. This is remembered as the night of two moons, and the legend is celebrated as a Holiday today. Particularly popular in Washan states, where C1 is still worshipped. On the day the archmages of would try to replicate that illusion, typically much poorly. People celebrate the day as a day of drinking and partying as if it was the end of the world. Culture: Washan

Mirror of Truth

Description: Long time ago in the Kingdom of Chaoxia a group of bandits attempted to rob a monk. The monk pulled out a mirror of truth, revealing to the bandit his true self, as an evil demon. The monk feared for his soul and repented, and instead decided to join the city guards and work for justice. The mirror of truth is now a public holiday in Chaoxia where they display mirrors on every door. Chaoxia has the largest mirror industry. "Terrible day for the ugly" someone remarks. Binding Feast

Description: A communal meal where commoners eat foods that was supposed to be brought by the solfrey from heaven, wrapped in leaves or bound with twine, each bite reminding them of the solfrey's gift and their binds.

Full Service

Description: Coming of Age ceremony. At 16 commoners wear a necklace they hand craft symbolizing their fealty to the Solfrey.

Thankscleaning

Description: Commoners would go around to all the solfrey statues and clean and polish them, as well as clean their homes.

Pious March

Description: A lot of the earlier activities are casual and can become secularized and divorced from their original meaning. But this one is intended to be solemn, dramatic, and have its meaning be undeniable. It's such a weighty ritual that really puts the fear and pressure of society on you to really fill you with its importance.

Every odd numbered year, people ritually add a chain link to a larger chain symbolizing their connection to their community and collective submission to the solfrey. It's a temple event with the priest and and choir singing majestic hymns, it's magically enhanced, you can't hear anything else and everyone's staring at you while you do it. The priest then gives them a mark on their cheek, which they are to keep on their body for the whole night.# Social Ranks Document
