Yaling and Weilan

From Weilan's Perspective

  • Initial awe of duke's daughter
  • Grateful for Yaling's acceptance and permission
  • Studies Yaling's every mood and preference
  • Relief when included in threesomes
  • Never competes but naturally gains Yaling's favor
  • Another time talking with Zhenzhen
    • Weilan's talking about how she's trying to get Yaling to let her eat her pussy.
      • Weilan really wants Yaling to feel comfortable with her and not resent her, she wants to serve Yaling as well so that she also gets something out of Weilan being around their relationship.
    • Zhenzhen gives the advice: The best time to eat a pussy is when a cock is fucking it.

From Yaling's Perspective

  • One of the ways yaling modifies weilan is with clothing, beautifully decorated nail guards and high heels

Comparison

Yaling Chun – Insights

  1. Self-Image & Validation
  • Relies on environment to confirm her worth. Despite her outward confidence, she constantly draws small reassurances from the MC, her social circle, and the luxurious surroundings she tailors to her tastes. This is not just narcissism—she’s almost trying to keep her own fairy tale alive. She fears that if the MC stops mirroring her self-image as the beloved wife, her entire sense of romantic destiny could collapse.
  • Nesting is also fortifying. Often depicted as outwardly poised, Yaling can be sensitive to subtle threats: a single unguarded exchange between the MC and another woman triggers a reflexive tightening of her social control. It’s less about raw jealousy and more about preserving a meticulously upheld fantasy of their invincible love story. She's constantly building up the walls of her castle, with you and her in the center of her keep.
  1. Rituals as Emotional Anchors
  • Yaling’s subconscious and subtle fascination with galas, ceremonies, social clubs, public sex, and any kind of formal “show” is more than just her aristocratic upbringing. She uses ritualistic events to anchor emotional meaning—like a personal strategy to keep relationships exciting. These events let her:
    • Demonstrate her privileged status (reinforcing self-confidence).
    • Reinforce the MC’s attention on her (heightening their romance).
    • Shape others’ perceptions, ensuring no one doubts her rightful place.
  1. Idealized Love vs. Brutal Reality
  • Caught between her romantic daydreams and the harsh realities of feudal politics, Yaling can turn to unexpected extremes when forced to reconcile these two worlds. She’ll do anything to preserve “the perfect marriage” if she senses the storybook glow fading—explaining why she either becomes capable of surprisingly callous acts (if she thinks it preserves the core romance) or steps back emotionally to protect herself from heartbreak if she believes the MC is drifting too far from her.

Weilan Kung – Additional Insights

  1. Intellectual vs. Emotional Submission
  • Although Weilan is academically bright and excels in finance or mathematics, her emotional wiring is deeply submissive. She channels her intellect into making her submission “more perfect”—finding ways to professionally or sexually maximize the MC’s benefit. This synergy between high intelligence and self-effacing devotion is unusual—she’s not the cliché “demure wallflower,” but rather a rational thinker who has chosen to direct her abilities into serving someone else.
  1. Survival Instinct Through Compliance
  • Beneath the sweetness is a survival mechanism refined by the world’s social order: obedience is the surest route to stability and even happiness. She’s motivated by real affection for the MC, but also by a lifelong lesson that defiance leads nowhere for commoners. This can read to outside observers as “Stockholm syndrome,” but from Weilan’s point of view, full acquiescence is both her best shot at emotional fulfillment and a shield against the system’s cruelties.
  1. Double-Edged Professional Brilliance
  • Weilan’s financial genius sets her apart from many Ji, yet it ironically endangers her emotional security:
    • Success means more contact with the MC in a business capacity—she grows attached, hoping he’ll notice her intellect in addition to her body.
    • That same success highlights her independence, which can threaten the “purely submissive Ji” dynamic. So she fights a paradox: wanting to be impressive, while also wanting the MC to view her as a cherished possession rather than a competitor.

Contrasting Their Emotional Grammar

  1. Yaling’s “Romantic Absolutism” vs. Weilan’s “Meticulous Service”
  • Yaling invests herself in grand emotions, big gestures, and symbolic victories. She’s quick to interpret small slights or grand confessions as either total devotion or near-betrayal.
  • Weilan deals in details, day-to-day proof of her worth—like quietly delivering financial results or politely offering new sexual techniques. She interprets each small courtesy from the MC as a “sign” that he still values her.
  1. Social Front vs. Personal Bond
  • Yaling is keenly aware of appearances—she judges relationships partly by how they translate into public narratives.
  • Weilan rarely cares about external optics except as they reflect on the MC. Her sense of identity rests more on what he privately thinks of her.
  1. Emotional Reaction to Stress
  • Under stress, Yaling might lash out or orchestrate some showy reassertion of control—like a lavish party or a harsh demonstration of power.
  • Weilan, under stress, focuses on “fixing” the perceived flaw in herself—she assumes she must find better ways to serve, coordinate, or self-improve, often ignoring that external forces (or other people’s manipulations) created the stress in the first place.

Narrative Function & Reading Experience

  1. Reflecting the Setting’s Duality
  • The dynamic between these two women epitomizes the juxtaposition of aristocratic opulence (Yaling’s world) and the quiet resilience of those conditioned to serve (Weilan’s world). This is central to why their interactions feel high-stakes: it’s not just a personal drama but a microcosm of how this entire feudal-magic society operates.
  1. Emotional Crescendos
  • Readers get the sense of “everything can switch in a flash” whenever Yaling sees Weilan stepping beyond her lane—or whenever Weilan, in a moment of unguarded sincerity, reveals how deep her longing for the MC goes. These mini-explosions of tension show that even a carefully maintained hierarchy can boil over from something as minor as a half-minute conversation or a misunderstood gesture.
  1. Surprising Kindness
  • The most unexpected moments come when Yaling or Weilan finds empathy for the other, reminding us that they’re not caricatures. Even a scene of Yaling stepping in to defend Weilan (for instance, from third-party insults) can generate a sense of reluctant sisterhood, highlighting that they share the MC and are both shaped by his presence in different ways.

Phase 1

They initially have a great working relationship, where Yaling is amused by her naivety and supportive of her trying to please MC.

While Weilan occasionally have sex with the MC alone, it is typically with Yaling, with her joining the husband and wife at night. Weilan notices how much more attention is paid to Yaling and how much more caring you act towards her in bed, but just takes it as her place to be an auxiliary. She does not allow herself to be envious or wish for more. She notices that Yaling does not like anal and offers herself to be an anal specialist.

Yaling for her part is quite generous and has no problem returning the favor when Weilan eats her out.

Phase 2

Only progress to phase 2 if MC builds up REL with Weilan. If you go forward with the Weilan route, she gets more confident and more useful, and develops her finance stuff. Her sexuality is also becoming more developed and kinky.

Here's the major turning point in their relationship. Yaling tries to get Weilan to be a society hostess for her social club, but Weilan does not like it, she says doesn't like being shown off as a piece of meat in front of all the rich men. She rightly sees it as a courtesan-esque position. She had enough of that experience when you took her out to the Scorean and doesn't want to do it again. Yaling assures her that that wouldn't be the case and nobody would dare to touch her in Yaling's club. But importantly that's not the real reason why Weilan doesn't want to do it, she doesn't like being shown off to strange men, who are not you. She worries that'll lessen her value in your eyes, but this she doesn't say out loud as it may be insulting to Yaling.

Yaling thinks Weilan is just being too scared and goes to you to make her do it, thinking this will help her with her dark pool business. Yaling just enjoys being cool and being seen in society a lot more than Weilan does.

  • If you make her, then this creates negative feelings from Weilan to Yaling.
  • If you choose Weilan's side, this creates negative feelings from Yaling to Weilan. It's crazy to her that Weilan has managed to get MC on her side or get MC to value her opinion that much.

In either case this is where the relationship between the two declines from where they genuinely wanted the best for each other to being less selfless.

Phase 3 (If Progressing REL)

Weilan tried to develop her sexual skills to appeal to the MC by giving him a vast array of weird sexual experiences, going pretty far, but still within reason. Eventually she hires a sex coordinator to help her come up with ideas and take things even further. She even puts the sex coordinator in contact with Mystimark Nexus's biological mages who can develop kinky magic for pleasure slaves.

The sex coordinator gives her some great though plain ideas including dancing, weird positions, and so on.

But Zhenzhen snoops and finds out about the sex coordinator and reports it to Yaling. Yaling comes to you and asks you if it's a good idea to get a sex coordinator, and you say yes. This leads Yaling to hire Weilan's sex coordinator.

Weilan is surprised one day to find her sex coordinator in the manor. The sex coordinator is here with her boss, an holder solfrey woman who is super excited to be working for a high noble (Yaling), and they are determined to provide superlative service to Yaling. Weilan's commoner sex coordinator tells Weilan that since she's a high noble and very wealthy they can provide her with out of this world experiences that Weilan could've never dreamed of.

  • Of course this gets her kinda down.

If you have given a lot of favor to Weilan and Yaling both, this puts the two into conflict. Otherwise you go down a good route for either without the bad outcome for the other.

If you choose Weilan but not Yaling despite getting both their RELs high, this leads to the Yaling downfall route.

Branching Graphs

Yaling asks MC if you care about Weilan. You can say:

  • "The one I really care about is you, and making you happy. Weilan's great. The firm's success reflects well on our household, and I appreciate how you've helped guide her." (Bad Route for Weilan)

  • "She is very dear to me, I feel a lot of responsibility to cherish and protect her." (Not-Bad Routes for Weilan)

    • This further branches into two routes after the coverup incident where Weilan's attempt to help backfires. Yaling is hurt and embarrassed and and very mildly mentions Weilan to blame:
      • You can punish Weilan her for mistake and force her to grovel to Yaling. (Yaling Ending 1 / Weilan Decent End)
      • Reassure Yaling without punishing Weilan, excuses Weilan and just commiserate on the situation.
        • Have Solfrey Child with Weilan. (Yaling Ending 6 / Weilan best end)
        • Have commoner child with Weilan. (Yaling Ending 3 / Weilan good end)
  • The endings are the "best possible" endings based on this relationship, however other factors and decisions can worsen the ending from this point.

Bad Route for Weilan (Yaling destroying Weilan)

  • "The one I really care about is you, and making you happy. Weilan's great. The firm's success reflects well on our household, and I appreciate how you've helped guide her."

    • AN: reduces weilan to her utility, but is otherwise casually dismissive
    • Implicitly gives permission and trust to Yaling to continue her influence over Weilan
    • Directly tells her he prioritizes her happiness above all else.
  • Leads to the Yaling best end.

  • Weilan accidentally crosses Yaling by helping cover up Yaling's mistake. But this coverup actually magnifies the problem and blows back on Yaling harshly. Yaling blames Weilan for this, for embarrassing her. While this never seriously angers Yaling it influences her subtly in a negative way, she's no longer positively disposed to Weilan and now feels good about hurting her.

  • When Yaling sees Weilan willing to debase herself for kink, she pushes her further than Weilan would normally go. This starts off with piercings and things that make life awkward, but ends in very awful body horror. The sex coordinator, now a solfrey who is the boss of Weilan's original sex coordinator, is instrumental in coming up with proposals and pushing things too far. So Yaling is not the deranged person coming up with these but the sex coordinator is a huge pervert who convinces her with things by saying "MC will love this". Yaling of course approves of it out of love for you. Again she doesn't hate Weilan, just has a casual disregard for her.

    • Level 1 Body Horror: maybe things like tongue mods or lighted up body parts for disco lights during sex. Her body has lights built in that could spell out things like "I love you" to the MC, which Yaling would turn on to express her love to him.
      • The first time the MC sees the skin lights on her he turns and thanks Yaling, which gives Weilan all sorts of cucked feelings.
    • Yaling will ask you if you're into it and want to see more, if you say yes you proceed to level 2 body horror. If you say no, you'll also say that you're happy to see Weilan and Yaling doing such projects together, and that you trust Yaling with your finances.
      • You then order Weilan to report to Yaling on financial matters in your domain, meaning you'll see her a lot less and essentially lose all opportunity to have 1 on 1 sex with her. This is a big win for Yaling and makes her less interested in hurting Weilan.
    • Level 2 body horror: Self lubricating skin. Her skin would leak fluids. Vibrating hands and fingers, they vibrate uncontrollably worse than a Parkinson's patient. To her from messing things up she's handcuffed and armbinder during the day. Tongue forked. texture mods, ribbed texture in between the forks and smooth texture on the top.
    • Level 3 body horror: Adding internal organs to produce temperature, heat, to enhance massages. Changed lips to be fully about suction for nipples, preventing speech. Internal organ displacement: Modifying the body to move internal organs to different locations. Vocal cords are modified to produce sonic vibrations.
  • By the end of this Weilan basically spends all her time in the SCN where she can still be "normal" and operate her finances stuff. She finds solace in work and hopes that you recognize her value through her work and can rescue her from her fate and restore her body. She is just waiting for your mercy, to take pity on her and for Yaling to get bored of the torment.

  • For Yaling it's like a continuous test of how much MC likes Yaling and appreciates her. She knows that he loves Weilan, and she's a favored toy and servant of his, so by continuously sinking her into deeper horror and desecration, it's like asking him, is this too much, will you stop me, etc. If he doesn't then it just shows that he prioritizes her extremely.

  • Weilan understands each degradation as proof of MC's choice to prioritize Yaling's desires over her wellbeing. It's not just about the physical changes but about repeatedly demonstrating her expendability.

    • But she believes in the bond forged between her and MC, and that there is a floor to the humiliation she faces. Devastating realization that the floor keeps dropping. Each time she thinks "surely this is the limit" but then it isn't (if you choose to extend to the end, you can stop at any time of course).

This route is quite dangerous to Yaling and it's easy to make her seem cruel or psychotic. There's definitely a large amount of pitfalls here that may trip up a noob writer.

To justify Yaling doing this, we need to understand Yaling's psychology with these points:

  1. She just loves experiencing reassurances of love and her priority from the MC. It gratifies her, she expects it, and if she doesn't see it she misses it. She puts immense weight and attention on their relationship and them growing closer, and she expects similar from him. Hurting something that he values so much is what would be a great gesture from MC. This shows that he cares about Yaling's feelings, and isn't just showing a conqueror's possessive love for Yaling (as is his relationship with other women), but a pure, real love and respect for her wishes. This is what elevates and differentiates Yaling.
  2. She has mild underlying jealousy of Weilan and the time she steals from him. Commoners are no more than sex toys, yet sometimes people do grow jealous of their spouse's vibrator. It is too embarrassing to admit, but is an underlying factor that should be hinted at but never fully admitted.
  3. Yes commoners are dehumanized, but she was still a friend, a pet. Though Yaling's liking for Weilan took a hit after 2 incidents (coverup and social club). What made this acceptable to her though is the Roulan situation, seeing what MC done, Yaling instead understood that this was the level he was operating on. This is could be a secret they share together. He will never have to worry about her not accepting or understanding. This is how to take their relationship to the next level. She understood that it was dark, wrong, but she didn't want MC to face the darkness alone, she was right there with him. Roulan ultimately found her true form, the correct way to serve. Really, it wasn't a bad thing overall.
  4. It's a nice "gift" she's giving him. Sure Weilan is ruined as a person, but she is really remade, by Yaling. She goes from an independent person to a symbol of their love and relationship. She becomes a part of their nest, and she takes pleasure in working on her much like she enjoys nesting in Len and the manor.
  5. She copes by thinking that this is what Weilan "deserves" as a person who's really into service anyway. This "improves" her doing this improves her and makes her better able to serve him, makes her happier anyway. I could've asked him to banish her, which would have been crueler. This way they still get to enjoy each other.
  6. This is also a ritual that reaffirms the hierarchy and creates order in the world as per confucian understanding. It's a ritual that powers up the relationship between you and Yaling via the use of a sacrifice.
  7. The jarring nature of the blithely harmful modifications is intentional, to show the nature of the power dynamic at play here. Yaling is powerful, and free to be a person of high complexity, not limited and penned in the way that Weilan is by her circumstances.

We need to watch out for these pitfalls:

  1. Can't go overboard with worsening the Weilan / Yaling relationship. Remember her purpose is to be a romantic, loving, safe route. Let's not add anxiety and tension over jealous and threaten some kind of possible breakdown of their relationship. That's not what this is. Adding additional scenes where they fight or Yaling is visibly jealous of her would be tropey and ruin the reading experience.
  2. Can't make Yaling cruel. If she enjoys hurting Weilan then that makes her less appealing as a romantic interest, maybe less safe to love. Let's not do that. Make sure she's not psychotic, not harley quinn.
  3. Don't make Yaling a power hungry, striving, greedy character. She's a solace character.
  4. Can't go overboard with the testing. Yaling is not unsure of his love, there is no doubt. But she enjoys reveling in its depths, it's just about her feelings and the joy of experiencing their romance, not logical proof.
  5. Can't contradict earlier good scenes with Weilan, it's not that their positive relationships were totally fake, it's that Yaling's desires trumps all for her. Her romance is the most important thing in her life, and Weilan's fun presence in her life is so minor in comparison.
  6. Don't make it so that Yaling loses agency, there are options to shift the blame to other characters, for example Zhenzhen or other servants or the MC (pushing her into it), but I want the focus on Yaling and Weilan's relationship and not make her look manipulated or a follower.

Not-Bad Routes for Weilan

  • "She is very dear to me, I feel a lot of responsibility to cherish and protect her." (Not-Bad Routes for Weilan)
    • AN: Directly says weilan is under protection to restrain Yaling

Good Route for Yaling

  • You can punish Weilan her for mistake and force her to grovel to Yaling.

  • This forces them back into alignment without Yaling taking matters into her own hands in a cruel way.

  • Maybe takes Weilan into the punishment chamber which has never been used before. Visible to spectators maybe?

  • Reassures Yaling that you prioritize her feelings over Weilan's dignity.

  • While Weilan didn't succeed in the coverup it's not seen as a foundational principle mistake.

    • It's important to understand that Solfrey nobles are used to having far more competent commoners serve them and do the real work and hand them the credit, that is the correct and expected way of the world. Weilan's overreach is not her breaking hierarchy, it's just that in this situation she allowed Yaling to look bad and the fact that the coverup was exposed calls into question Yaling's successes and make her look bad overall.
    • It's not said in so many words but fundamentally it's just embarrassing, and embarrassing to even complain about it. But Weilan helping would not have been this horrible if she didn't get a blow back.
    • Yaling blamed Weilan slightly, as she did worsen the situation, but it's mostly an in-the-moment emotional reaction rather than a serious blame.
    • But this is the fundamental reason, but Yaling also takes the opportunity to test MC, that's what the other issues is fundamentally. If he cares enough about Yaling's feelings to let Weilan be hurt and humiliated and lose her dignity in return for Yaling's embarrassment.
    • He's willing to trade Weilan's dignity in to mollify Yaling a bit, even though it really doesn't fix anything (now just both girls are humiliated instead), just makes Yaling feel a bit better that he picked her.
    • Yaling just wants to take out some frustration and is happy that MC prioritizes her feelings over the growing rapprochement with his Ji toy.
    • No real lesson here for Weilan except that Yaling is just the more important person who has to be catered to.
    • Yaling is embarrassed and upset She wants to feel better MC shows he'll hurt Weilan to make Yaling feel better That's it - no deeper lesson or rational purpose Just emotional validation of Yaling's priority Weilan understands she's ultimately just a toy that can be sacrificed for Yaling's feelings Yaling is reassured that MC will always choose her feelings first Neither woman needs to learn a "lesson" - it just establishes the emotional hierarchy
  • Precludes the best Weilan ending where her child is Solfrey but still allow for decent Weilan endings.

  • Leads to the Yaling best end.

  • Weilan's outlook on Yaling changes here, from a friend to seeing her as more of a manipulative person who she has to be more conscious of how her actions are perceived and how it could affect Weilan in the end.

  • Part of Weilan's "coming of age" into social maturity and recognizing Yaling as less of this magnanimous angelic figure and more of a person. The wariness is maybe a development. It sort of mirrors Yaling's loss of naivety regarding Weilan. She started off perceiving Weilan more kindly until she realized Weilan also has self interests in the social club arc when she was more used to thinking of Weilan as purely an object for her use.

  • Yaling is gratified by MC's love for her and is reassured and returns to aristocratic confidence, and makes a point to be kind to Weilan to show forgiveness.

  • Later on have conversations above love, and Yaling gets to show MC her love for him physically and through significant gestures, that he receives with joy.

  • Yaling tells Weilan that though she may love it's not her to place love the same way, Weilan should channel her love through Yaling and supporting Yaling, MC's chosen mate, is loving MC. This is intended to be different from the initial honeymoon dynamic.

    • the idea isn't for Yaling to train her but to express sympathy from woman to woman to someone else who she sees as a good person who also loves but will never have her love be returned. She genuinely wants to be kind to her and make her feel better about the situation of her love and cope with her place
    • Initially Yaling might notice Weilan's pain after some intense moment with MC
    • Instead of ignoring it or being cruel, she shows understanding
    • Shares her own experiences of loving MC, but from position of being chosen
    • Acknowledges Weilan's devotion while gently helping her understand its proper place
    • Not preaching but commiserating about the nature of love itself
  • Weilan helps serve during Yaling and MC's anniversary. They celebrate both the wedding anniversary and the first meeting anniversary.

    • It's not super elaborate, but they spend a lot of quality time together, basking in each other's company and ofc sexually.
  • When it's Weilan's anniversary of becoming a Ji, he doesn't take time for her during the day. Weilan mopes and is sad and misses him terribly. She thought that nothing's going to happen and that he probably forgot. Late at night he comes to her room and talks to her, gives her some flowers, and fucks her ass. She's gratified and tries not to think that Jiaolong probably scheduled this and picked out the flower. For a time while he's there, she's able to think about their love.

Bad Route for Yaling

MC comforts Yaling but doesn't punish Weilan

Some potential brainstorm ideas:

Yaling finds MC comforting Weilan after a crisis instead of her Catches them sharing private jokes she doesn't understand Realizes MC confides things in Weilan he doesn't tell her

Later, during quiet evening at home:

MC casually mentions something about his childhood to Weilan It's a story Yaling has never heard before She realizes there's a growing intimacy she's not part of Instead of rage, we see her mask slip for just a moment of raw hurt She maintains composure but starts sleeping in separate chambers

During a major economic decision:

Weilan works late into night with MC planning solutions Yaling comes to join them but realizes they're deep in their own world She watches them finish each other's sentences, sharing subtle glances Instead of her usual confidence, she quietly withdraws without them noticing Next day she finds out they solved everything without needing her input at all

The breaking point comes during a victory celebration:

MC publicly credits Weilan's contributions before mentioning Yaling For the first time, we see Yaling's legendary confidence truly shaken She has a private, dignified but devastating confrontation with MC "I fought my entire family to be with you. I thought what we had was special."

  • Yaling watches in growing disbelief as traditional boundaries blur

If it culminates in the unprecedented Solfrey child revelation:

  • Leads to the Weilan ascendant ending where she achieves the impossible

  • Yaling has complete breakdown behind closed doors

  • Screaming, throwing things, begging

  • Raw confession of fears about losing MC's love

Potential Yaling reactions (Ending 6): When the Solfrey child possibility is revealed, Yaling goes cold Complete emotional withdrawal from both MC and Weilan Has to be coaxed back through intense emotional confrontations Either accepts her new diminished position or maintains a bitter resistance

If you switch back to Yaling with a "split attention" ending (Ending 3):

  • Show Weilan a lot of love while reassuring Yaling.
  • Weilan has a commoner child.

Overview of Issues

Yaling is not and will never be jealous of Weilan's competence, achievements, etc. Being served by a more competent commoner is an expected fact of life by Solfrey nobles. Like many rich kids, Yaling views professions as an intellectual curiosity or hobby, rather than a matter of a person's worth. Becoming jealous of your husband's Ji for that is like becoming jealous of your husband's horse for running fast, it's not Yaling's job to be useful in that way so she doesn't compare herself in that way.

Yaling can become jealous of Weilan taking up her husband's time and attention though. It's expected for her husband to have affection for Weilan, much like she would expect him to have affection for a pet, or a horse, that by itself is not jealousy-worthy. But excessive time and prioritization is a slow but material source of competition. Solfrey are not supposed to fall too much in love with Ji, but it does happen and that is very annoying. But this by itself is a relationship issue that can be worked through, and Yaling can also pull back and spend more time on other interests too. So while this does ruin the obsessive romance Yaling would've wanted to have, it's not exactly a divorce-worthy issue.

Totally out of the left field would be the Solfrey child, which is a cataclysmic, unthinkable, transgression. If your husband marries his horse... that's really crazy and destroys Yaling's spirit.
