Meeting the Alchemist

A set of murky jars lies on the shelf, right out in the open. But distinctive the shape of the half formed foetus within is still plainly visible. It's unmoving, preserved in formaldehyde.

"That's an abortion..." You shudder.

He sees you looking at it.

"That's from... a dramatic story that one. It was a passionate Solfrey girl, spontaneous eh, had an accident with one of us commoners. She was going to keep it and all, out of love for her boy."

"But then the boy cheated on her. She was weeping endlessly, very emotional time for her, though it's all understandable with the brain chemicals and all. She wanted to take it to throw it at him, but we talked her out of it. In the end she just left without it."
