Nature of Mysticism

My interest is in the opposite of creating magical systems. I think it's boring, and would prefer to write about humans. As it exists, the magecraft is underdeveloped and purposefully vague. But because I don't want people to get the wrong impressions of it, let's set some core principles.

• The magecraft system is not magic. Magic meaning some unknowable, esoteric, symbolic, subjective, emotional, soulful, type of power that you may find in more female-written stories. The magecraft system here is essentially a technology-replacement, you can think of it as like a cyberpunk. The magecraft system in this world is logical, predictable, and controllable that has no subjectivity or emotional content. The power level of a mage is determined by skill, training, and knowledge.
• It is most similar to Qi, or The Force from star wars. While there are rituals, they are mostly for human purposes, ie to get people in the mood to perform the magecraft, not to commune with the magecraft itself. There is no equipment or symbology required.
• How you use it or understand it is kept vague, it's just unimportant. The characters reach out and do magecraft.
• Everyone is capable of magecraft, of perceiving the qi, innate talent, sure there's some but it's not a significant factor for most people.
• If in the future someone wants to develop the system fully, I might be interested in taking a look, but chances are it's going to do more harm than good.

Nature of Necromancy

It's the ability to manipulate and control souls and to move the curve, especially to the right.

Discovery by Deng Yu

• She discovered that that magical fields and resonances map to a Marchenko-Pastur curve on a large enough scale.
• Normally you see white noise, which is magic that can be harnessed, but on a super large scale you'll see the curve and understand where to find the optimal point, this is not a geographical thing but more of a mindseye thing
• Talented archmages learn how to search and "flow" into the curve, to grab onto it.
  • But this is a difficult, laborious, inconsistent, high finesse, and "talent required" process.
• Deng Yu's innovation is to use a vast array of sensors to instantly calculate the curve and find its optimal point with pinpoint accuracy, to suck it in. This creates extremely powerful warriors if they have the mage support. (Yan Mil secrets)
  • Sucking it is a Yan mediation technique that is generally not taught to those outside of the Yan.
  • The Yan also taught how to "zoom out" on a different scale to see more of the curve at once, which is amazing.
  • This is what makes the Heaven's Wing Vanguard such a superlative elite.

Illusion Counter by Deng Yu

• should be something that uses the assumption that the opposite reaction exists, without understanding it.
• With this technique, Deng Yu pierces through the necromancer's illusions

Full Necromancer Ability

• After studying the material left in the Prison of Souls, you became a necromancer with the powers and understanding of ancient gods.
• You understood the Marchenko-Pastur curve, and not only that, you no longer need to do math and use sensors as Deng Yu does, you are able to freely alter your perception to scale to whichever layer you want and access the The Upper Edge of the curve.
• Furthermore you're able to freely access the other dimension with your more advanced magecraft, eg, when you create fire in this dimension you're able to also use the cold in the other.

Soulgates

Soulgates connect to the road out, which is a place outside of space time. By going through the road out you can essentially teleport to anywhere on earth or in Annilm.

Nobody, while on the road out is alive. They're essentially in stasis while there. They rely on people on either ends of it to pull them to their destination.
