Overview

Dou Rong has her own great romance plot, but is also the primary vehicle to explore the past through her work translating the secret texts of the past. She's also part of the explorations of conspiracy storylines, showing the dangers of drawing motivated conclusions from incomplete history. Peizhi and C2 are instead the holders of the real history.

So she has 4 main appeals:

  • Historical Reveals
  • Beautiful Enemies To Lovers Romance
  • Exploration of MC's Conspiracy Theories and how he is a flawed person who can sometimes delude himself.
  • Hot psychological turmoil with a lot of angst.
    • This forms the meat of the story, the liminal headspace between when she's fully broken and starting to break is the most interesting part. Here we see her in conflict and it's fantastic psychological exploration. There's a lot to enjoy for people who are interested in this, and we'll want to relish and spend extended time here to really experience it.
    • We may even want to extend this part further than what we currently have.
    • In fact after she's broken it might get less interesting.

Possible Additional Ideas to Insert

Object Obsession: She could become subtly fixated on a small object associated with the MC – a discarded piece of clothing, a tool he used, a particular book he touched. She might keep this object hidden, treating it as a talisman. This shows her growing emotional dependence. [let's not exaggerate this, just mention her noting it, moving it somewhere special, looking at it every so often rather than doing anything exaggerated like cuddling it or crying with it to sleep lol, what do you think is the appropriate level?] The "Name" Struggle: She could struggle with what to call the MC in her thoughts. "Captor" becomes increasingly inadequate, "Monster" feels hollow, and "Master" is both terrifying and alluring. The internal shift in how she addresses him (even mentally) reflects her changing perception. Internal Monologue – The "Devil's Advocate": Dou Rong could have internal debates where she tries to argue against the MC's theories, even as she finds herself drawn to them. She might mentally construct counterarguments, only to find herself dismantling them with his logic. This shows her intellectual struggle and her gradual slide into his worldview. The "Mirror" Test: She could start obsessively examining herself in a mirror (if she has access to one), trying to see herself through the MC's eyes. She might be disgusted by her appearance, or she might find a perverse satisfaction in seeing herself as his possession. This could tie into the "taking care of her appearance" detail. [Two directions we can take this, one is self objectfication, another is more of a minor prop for looking at herself when doing poses] The "Ritual" of Presentation: Presenting her findings to the MC becomes a highly ritualized act. She might develop specific routines – arranging the scrolls in a particular order, wearing a specific piece of (provided) clothing, speaking in a specific tone. This ritualization is both a form of submission and a way to maintain some sense of control.

Post 22: The "Jealousy" of Knowledge: Dou Rong becomes possessive of their shared research, viewing other scholars as potential threats. She might actively sabotage the MC's interactions with other intellectuals, fearing they might "corrupt" his thinking. The Worship: The figure-8 pattern becomes increasingly more complicated.

Tasks: We need to develop more tasks and make it more integrated. Let's focus on one thing at a time. Let's start with developing Task 1, The Worship. In later cycles we should expand Task 1 beyond the basic figure-8. Here are some ideas: Adding Vocalizations: She must chant specific phrases or sing a song while performing the movements. The phrases could be related to the MC's "mission" or to her own submission. Incorporating Objects: She must manipulate objects while crawling – holding a bowl of water without spilling it, pushing a heavy stone, tracing patterns in sand. Blindfolded: She must perform the pattern blindfolded, relying on memory and spatial awareness. This increases the difficulty and reinforces her dependence on the MC's instructions. Obstacle Course: The figure-8 pattern could be modified to include obstacles – crawling under low barriers, stepping over ropes, navigating a maze. Endurance Test: The number of repetitions could be increased significantly, pushing her to her physical limits. Agility Based Movements. Instead of just a figure 8, the paths she must crawl on become increasingly more complicated.

Background

Dou Rong is an young, Solfrey woman of 27 who is one of the foremost experts in ancient languages of Sica region.

The Honorable Lady Dou Rong, Hereditary Successor of the Barony of Frostcrane

Frostcrane is one of the smaller mountain towns of your county.

Ancient Sica language has historically been suppressed and very difficult to study, with the lack of excavation and materials, the main focus being on Kpor.

She's been trying to get access to the Treasury of the Duke of Acasa, father of your wife, who was rumored to have books and artifacts from antiquity. [Acasa archives don't really have much in the way of interesting material, all the good stuff comes from the Prison of Souls. History was suppressed and the descendants of Sica people like the Chuns wouldn't have artifacts of such worth...]

She had finally gotten approval to examine them after many letters and begging to go, but before she could, she disappeared without a trace.

She had been missing for a month.

In truth, you captured her after hearing about her mission from Yaling. You had discovered the Prison of Souls, the ancient Sica fortress built to fight the demons during the Demon Wars, leading to your Necromantic powers. The Prison was sealed and abandoned during R4's purges. R4 had the power to detect necromancers in order to hunt them down and kill them. The Prison was sealed away with many layers of incredibly advanced magic to prevent her from discovering it.

Contained within the prison of souls are the secrets to necromancy, a legion of demon souls, as well as many many unreadable historical texts.

You had to capture Dou Rong because you feared that she would discover your tracks if she kept on going on with her research. She was one of the people you spoke to during your investigations, and you had to prevent her from doing what you were.

Secondly, you could not read the volumes of texts left in the Prison, nor did you have time to give them the thorough analysis they deserve. You focused on getting what you can out of the Prison, mainly powers, rather than knowledge. You needed someone who can help you, work on translations, and a beautiful captive researcher does just that.

Prior to the events of the game since your family was her liege, and she was a noble girl of your age, you've met each other numerous times in various social events. Her parents of course, thought it would be very nice to have you marry her, though it didn't happen of course, you just ran in different circles. Maybe you could've had more of a relationship with her if you didn't spend so much time at home in the SCN?

Gameplay Bonuses

  1. Allow buying of relics in market after initial quest.
  2. Increases the chances of more rare relics in shop after the conclusion of the quest and you allow her some minor freedom.

General Personality

  • gets clingy after the isolation
    • gets anxious if you look at the door or your watch
    • Tries to subtly get you to stay when you're about to leave. She'll find excuses to keep the interaction going, presenting one more "finding" to keep you.
      • likes to ask for "clearer instructions"
      • She'll ask you questions and try to get you to tell stories, and talk about herself in the areas where she's allowed to.
    • latches on during aftercare and won't let you go

Notes

  • Personality quirk: makes more historical references than most people
  • Her time in captivity causes her to break down from stress and despair, you tell her thats because she has a slave mind. Her body naturally punishes her when she's not doing what she's supposed to be doing.
  • Finally a romance plot where she loves you even if you don't love her.
  • Initially in your relationship you put a lot of work into breaking down her mind and telling her her fate as your slave.
  • To prepare for her later transformation you tell her how wonderful it is to be yours.
    • You need to show scenes of her being really happy later on with you.
    • She expresses how lonely she is when you're not there and she throws herself into her research, looking forward to when you'll be back.
  • Then there is some kind of challenge where she actively collaborates with you on the goals, perhaps doing something that could defeat the demons or something.
    • You reflect that she is someone who shares your feelings about Sica and makes for a much more perfect partner than your wife, who doesn't care for Sica at all and enjoys the world as it is.
    • idea: She helps do some research that helps you defeat demons. "The next demon you attack will fall more easily."
    • She is incredibly excited about the demon attack and her contributions and is ecstatic to be instrumental in defeating it.
    • You gift her with a captured demon soul artifact as a reward.
    • You do this I think 3x.
    • She is fully falling in love due to your supportive and commanding nature.
  • At some point you either save her or nurse her back to health or something like that. Maybe she gets into a fight with the demons or your heroes who thought she was a demon?
  • After a long time when you're certain of her loyalty, you let her travel outside to accompany your heroes on anti-demon missions. Your heroes are all under your necromancer powers and are perfectly loyal to you, and this has been made obvious to her from the very beginning.
  • Then there is a crisis / test where she actively chooses you over her own interests. Unlike the previous adventures where she worked towards shared interests, this time it's definitively your interest and this proves her love for you.
    • Her sister finds her. The attacks on the demons has the signature of an anti-demon technology that researcher was working on. And that led the sister to go back to the base of the attackers, finding the Dou Rong.
      • The sister wants Dou to go back home, but Dou says she ran away sorry don't need any help, sorry for not contacting you i'm okay.
      • The sister says Dou can never lie to her and there's something crazy happening here that she doesn't understand. Sister realizes something is wrong, dou is under controlled and she'll be back with an army to free her.
      • At this point there's a big struggle where sister kills the demon since the demon serves you.
      • Dou is pretty pissed off since the demon was a gift from you. She attacks sis and subdues her with unseen power.
      • Dou apologizes mentally, for her selfishness, she is kinda lonely and would like her sister to be there with her to co-serve you. You are the greatest man in the world and being your slave-concubine would be a great life for sis she thinks.
  • She is then rehabilitated and isn't imprisoned anymore.
    • The captured sister is presented to you as another slave.
  • Fight with Zhenzhen and Roulan.
  • You can kill them for her to get on her route.
  • Her time in captivity causes her to break down from stress and despair, you tell her thats because she has a slave mind. Her body naturally punishes her when she's not doing what she's supposed to be doing.
    • To get to this scene consider a path like this...
    • You start by treating her politely and explaining what you want out of her and your shared goals. You tell her you can't let her go due to the immense risk to you as the necromancer. You tell her that the only thing you can do is to make her your slave forever. You never fail to break any woman, she will be your slave.
    • She does work for a while.
    • But later she resists and starts bargaining, demanding things like the ability to go out and talk to people as rewards for work.
      • In the sfw version you tell her what she'll get is on your terms and you bring her some surprise gifts that aren't what she asked for, but she understands the message that even though she is a slave can still be happy.
      • In the nsfw version you spank and whip her. After she's healed you give her some big Os to show to her that her body and her life is totally in your control. She doesn't get to bargain she gets to submit only and orient her mind to serving you.
      • In addition to doing research you train her to service you, you give her challenges to think about what you want. What you want is some kind of crazy painful choice that typically leaves her hurt and tired. If she chooses correctly she gets healed and orgasms. If she doesn't guess correctly she gets punished. It forces her to spend a lot of time and effort thinking about it, and makes it so that the effort is really worth it. She starts to look forward to seeing you back for the conclusion of the game and her reward.
      • Eventually she tells you that she's well trained and will never resist you, bringing an end to the breaking phase.
  • Some historical research, she breaks ciphers. There were encrypted letters from C1 to R4 discussing the destruction of Sica, and admitting to the mass murder of Yan Hui's other family. They were encrypted because she did not trust her own mother the R1 empress and their potential interception.
