MC Story Arc
- Initial Phase: We see her perfect control and management through various scenes
- Expert manipulation of household dynamics
- Pride in her efficiency and control
- Subtle temptation of MC while maintaining professional distance
- The Crack in the Facade:
- During a major crisis (maybe Peizhi's visit or assassination attempt)
- Has to spend intense time with MC planning/coordinating
- Her careful control starts slipping
- Still maintains professional demeanor but getting more obvious in her desire
- The Breaking Point:
- MC finally takes her
- Instead of this leading to romance though, it actually destabilizes her
- She loses her perfect grip on managing everything
- Makes mistakes in scheduling, gets emotional at wrong times
- Her identity was built on managing MC's affairs. Becoming part of those affairs shatters her professional control.
- struggling to maintain efficiency while dealing with her own desire/jealousy.
- Other women notice her weakness
- The Resolution:
- Rather than romance, MC puts her back in her place through mind control
- Restores her to being the perfect secretary but now with that edge of having been claimed
- She's more effective than ever but with that underlying tension
- Other women notice the change but can't quite figure out what happened
- The MC couldn't time accept her romance and her love as a normal woman because of the mind control factor. He doesn't struggle with it, but the narration clearly explains that it's an impediment. If he'd just mind-controlled her to love him, it would easily be done, and because of that he was highly averse to doing so. Was it because of the challenge? Just male psychology did not allow it, no chase, no point? Or was it something else? It's not any worse morally than any of the mass slaughter and will removal he already did to many many other people. He puzzled on it for a while.
- Maybe (option)? You mind control her to not love you anymore. She cries and begs for you to not do this to her. (She falls in love with you again regardless)
Nali - The Networker
- Gets obsessed with how Jiaolong is "always there" between MC and others
- Starts monitoring their SCN interactions, building conspiracy theories
- She interprets these traces through her delusional lens
- Becomes convinced Jiaolong is some kind of evil gatekeeper blocking her "destined" connection with MC
- Sees Jiaolong's schedule optimization as dark magic controlling MC
- Gets particularly unhinged about Jiaolong being the one who decides who gets time with MC
- Could escalate to her trying to "free" MC from Jiaolong's "control"
Roulan/ZZ:
- Jiaolong hears about childhood rivalry between ZZ and Roulan
- Sees how ZZ "trains" Roulan now
- Gets selective/misleading info from others about their past
- Jinfei Haerata might try to purposefully throw her off the scent to avoid letting her know about the truth
- Starts thinking ZZ orchestrated Roulan's mutilation out of jealousy
- Could try to protect Roulan or limit ZZ's access
- Gets burned when she realizes she completely misread the situation
- Shows how even someone good at reading household dynamics can misinterpret deeper histories
