Core Purpose
- Existence avoids having everyone in love with you, we need to show some valiant opposition.
- No long development or anything, will be resolved in single random minor event.
The Event
You are fed up with the criminality and orders an attack on the mob.
Key to writing this event is for the event to act as the finale, and say that you've been working on this for a long time.
Your father's high social spending policies inadvertently resulted in graft and leakage through organized crime.
Some Hila privately supported criminals by lying and overstating their numbers.
Your personal attention lets you easily resolve problems by mind controlling people and having them tell you criminal information, leading you to waterproof cases against the crims and resolving the issues entirely.
After you build your case you mind control her to get her confession, and you find out everything, she tells you truthfully that her Solfrey lover isn't involved politically and doesn't deserve to be punished.
She rants at you about how your cutting spending is so unkind and hurts so many people and the people deserve
@player: There's a concept called counter-cyclical spending. The economy has times when it grows quickly, and times when it slows down. To avoid the slowdown from getting really bad and hurting people, the government increases spending during the slow times, stimulating the economy and tiding people over until the things get under control. But you can't do that if you're always spending at a high level. There must be times when you're reducing spending when the economy is already doing well.
You direct your police to go after the criminals with the special information you have available.
Concludes with just some narration about how she's put through the formal justice system.
Some narration about the county's bureaucracy is amazed by your ability, and Yaling is impressed and thinks you've been doing worthy things.
Weeks later, you see her again at her execution. She spoke her last words quietly, not a firebrand revolutionary, just talked of how she was a loyal subject of the Solfrey, served the Solfrey's justice and peace, and that she may be recognized as such for posterity.
You notice through your mental connection that she had spent the past few weeks obsessing over her loyalist daughter's schooling.
Her empire's falling apart around her, her networks dismantled, hundreds of her members arrested and charged.
Her daughter was about to enter middle school, and Meiyu wanted her to go to Emara Institute [an elite boarding school], but being arrested, she could not make the required interview meetings with the school officials. She spent hours writing letters to school officials, sending for delegates who could take her place.
- [The idea here is an action that shows love and attention on her child but is tragically disproportionally limited as compared to the doom facing her, she was focused on this instead of on saving herself or saving her gang.]
She has no idea you know about her, and she dies without knowing whether her attempts to get her daughter into Emara succeeded.
