Appearance
Overview
- 27 year old female solfrey non-noble middle class bourgeoisie
- Interest in social climbing
- A bit of a snob like Sei Shonagon
- Similarity to Anaïs Nin in Henry and June
- Was kind of a nerd, so not very sexually experienced.
- Not like Weilan, not participating or seeing in Yaling's sexual experiences
- But hears about them from Yaling, is "entering into a new world"
- Like Anais Nin, has thoughts about ""
- Likes clothing and elegance as a symbol of class and power, as opposed to liking them for aesthetics. Big contrast with R4 who doesn't care about the symbolism of clothes and makeup but cares only for aesthetics.
- Cinean is an well educated-pickme who looks down on your wife as a defense mechanism against her jealousy over their unequal station.
- Admires wife's good nature and charisma but looks down on her relatively less diligent education
- "Looks down on" needs to be modified a bit to "has a bit of pride" in her own better academics. It's not really looking down on her as a whole, it's just something to compensate herself with. She doesn't actually look down on the wife as a person.
- Resents your wife's noble privilege and how she "has it all" but isn't using it.
- Admires wife's good nature and charisma but looks down on her relatively less diligent education
- She writes a whole bunch of Belles-lettres about life with your wife and her observations, some are private and some are shared with the Dark College
- Immaculate poet
- Definitely a few that are quite critical of your wife
- A bunch of love for you
- Wrote love poems for you which she never sent
- Poetic dirty talk
- Part of the Dark College, an intellectual correspondence circle who discussed political philosophy as well as other topics, magic and science etc.
- Dark college was the overall name for it, but she specifically was part of Haruen Circle, which is where she was from. The Haruen Circle met not infrequently in the SCN and was full of people who wrote on politics and published news about various things. Though there was a variety of opinions if you can control it... it's valuable.
- Haruen Circle also ran an orphanage for the children of runaway slaves and heretics, giving them a chance to grow up outside of the system. Cinean was quite involved in administering this and contributed fundraisers at multiple points.
- In the story, she's going to be making sacrifices for your sake, this shows your power, as appropriate in a power fantasy.
- This sacrifice can be her beliefs, her organization, the people that believed in her, and so on.
- Consider this plotline, where she sacrifices something to save you. She can have an organization or non profit that was her baby, and she betrays everyone in it for you. She uses it for evil betraying her morals.
- If she has negative thoughts about herself she thinks them in a rich Hepin accent (as a joke).
- She has a minor opinion against group sex and orgies, she wants to preserve sex as something intimate and romantic, thinks wild sex would desensitize her and ruin sex for her. Just a small opinion at the outset that's subject to change.
Physical
- Asymmetrical labia, one is an innie and other is bigger and likes to poke her tongue out.
- Deliver a passionate monologue about the "nature of inherited privilege," but while she's talking, she'll be unconsciously fiddling with her hair or adjusting her dress to make sure she looks good for you. Her body language will always betray her intellectual posture. She’s trying to impress you with her brain while her instincts are trying to impress you with her body.
Kink - KQV0I0E1
Cinean he also is just devoid of any dominance desire. That's just not how they engaged, she was pleasing to him from the start. Her true route is really about social climbing and adopting the aristocratic conservatism, a social world view, rather than him imposing personal dominance. The personal dominance, the power-fantasy is, is just so ingrained and obvious and not needed to speak about explicitly that it overwhelms her political beliefs and converts her without even trying. Rather he converts her with love, not rituals and toys.
The kink is non-existent in the bedroom, but the psychological submission is total. The effort (E1 - Natural) is just you existing as an irresistible force that shatters her worldview.
The power fantasy here is not the deliberate tricks as pressure, but the fact that you don't even need to. Your privilege, status, and charisma are just that overwhelming.
You Cinean's body, it's just not with brutality like DR or DY, but with love. It's not an ideological convert it's an emotional one, the ideological is post-hoc justification for the emotional conversion.
History
Cinean is a known young solfrey female literati who had a couple of essays published. Yaling admired both her writing and her style and you had both talked about how cool she was when you were living in the capital.
To keep her company and to give her intellectual companionship, you hired Cinean as a surprise gift for Yaling as her companion, which is like a lady-in-waiting type position.
Since Cinean is accomplished (has an academic career) but not of noble birth, it is quite unusual to hire her. But she agrees to join your household because she admires you as well, unbeknownst to you, due to your podcast and book.
Yaling loves her and they're instantly besties.
Cinean's essays:
- how language can be used to control ideas
- theories on art and poetry
- appreciation on aesthetics for aesthetics sake (bold lie)
- theories on rational debate and how the scn can be used as a tool for rationalization
- a new interpretation of the Rights of Solfrey (centered around class struggle)
- Her major concern is class struggle, she wants to help the poor. While this does extend to poor commoners as well, it does not identify commoners as a class. It is mostly about class differences between solfrey, the elite and powerful solfrey which benefits from nepotism and the middle and lower classes of solfrey. Her views uses as support the Rights of Solfrey, which calls for solfrey unity to control the world. It's easy to interpret this message as being against the class stratifications that are present in the authoritarian feudal-ish system. She calls for stronger assistance to the poor in a way that's reminiscent of wealth distribution, so that the lower classes of solfrey can be more responsible for the upkeep of the world least the commoners take over. She thinks that no solfrey should be left behind in education and magecraft training.
- Commoners are generally not allowed to read this level of things on politics and is purposefully kept on having political / class consciousness
- support for the Cycles & Loyalists system from the perspective of gender studies. (female Cinean only)
- There are people who are critical of the relationships between solfrey men and hila women, and want the hilas to be defunded. They complain about the dangers of the solfrey men getting too attached to hila women and forgetting their duty in upholding solfrey status.
- Cinean would defend the system from the perspective of a sisterhood of women. Cinean empathizes with commoner women for whom being a hila is a great way to social climb and gain proximity to solfrey power. Especially since advanced magecraft, and especially combat magecraft is less taught to commoners outside of militaries, commoner women are relatively weaker compared to commoner men. That is not the case for solfrey women and solfrey men, solfrey children all get extensive training in magecraft for self defense from early on, and as a result is relatively much more equal. Cinean recognizes that it is different for commoner women and empathizes with them both from a gender standpoint and a social climber standpoint. Having commoner society having a class of Hila gives women power, alternatives, and brings overall balance to gender relations in commoner society as well as promoting overall stability.
Cinean has long been part of the dark college, which is an informal letter writing network of intellectuals that occasionally also have larger forums for group discussions and occasionally publications in broader media. Think of it as like lesswrong, or discord servers for specific peoples. Another way to think of it is as a loose network of thinktanks or the concept of thinktanks as a whole. While it's a somewhat okay place to surface radical or heretical ideas, these people are not outcasts, they are rather one of the main intellectual life in the world. They are frequently read by people in power and their participants regularly also become the people in power. The dark refers to its semi-private and elitist nature.
While it's not easy to become known in the dark college, it is also not crazy difficult to be able to participate at all. It is mostly a matter of writing ability, presentation skills, interesting ideas, and motivation and interest.
The dark college is not a monolith, and there are people there with more radical opinions and outlooks. Cinean is sympathetic to a leader named Lishu, who runs an orphanage that does conduct illegal activities that would be punished by the Cult of Yan.
Cinean and Lishu met at the Haruen Circle, which is a subnetwork of the Dark College, you can think of it as a discord server. People there are generally friendly with Lishu and there are many supporters, but not everyone in the Haruen Circle is aware of her activities.
