Events Level 2

Event 1: Right of First Refusal

  • Holding court in an architecturally semi-Zhou court mixed with futuristic/european inspiration, open spaces, tall ceilings with impressive, imposing verticality, glass and steel. (1 hour typically per day)
  • Court has loads of people, including both secretaries and Yaling who's also present, hangs out and gives advice.
  • There's also other unnamed advisors.
  • Jiaolong Lifen - Social Secretary is asked to prepare Weilan and escort her to her place.

Event 2: Right of First Refusal Aftermath (Level 2)

Opening:

  • Jiaolong Lifen - Social Secretary guides Weilan to a "Ji Chamber" after a long walk through the halls, filled with obviously sexual cushions, stocks, spreader bars, mirrors, other maledom furniture.

    • Ornate mirrors positioned to reflect the bed from multiple angles
    • A massive bed with silk sheets in your house colors
    • Perhaps some traditional ceremonial items specific to claiming a Ji
  • It's never been used before for that purpose, with a Ji by MC (we don't think about his parents though obviously been used by parents).

  • MC has used it before with other servants, random hookups, etc. But it's intended to be a place to "train Ji", though MC is not really interested in this. Sex training will be reserved for the Dou Rong character in her own environment.

  • Jiaolong assumes she is distraught and needs comforting, because why wouldn't she be, she just had her entire life upended, lost her freedom, her career, her husband to be, etc, seized in a profound violation, the type that would be legal only for a solfrey, a scary master-class of elites.

  • She tries to comfort the pensive Weilan with gentle, professional sympathy, talks up the master and how it is nice to belong to someone so powerful, a noble with a long lineage.

  • Weilan should be witty and (trying to be) funny, and Jiaolong sees that she's alright. And Jiaolong thinks, ahh, of course my lord is an attractive lady killer, and then gets on her speed with the light-hearted dialogue. Don't have her make Weilan feel bad, but at the same time she shouldn't be stroking Weilan's ego either. Just appear nice, professional, helpful.

  • Weilan makes an unexpected joke that takes Jiaolong a moment to catch

  • This breaks the tension and shows Weilan's personality

  • Subverting Jiaolong's expectations

  • Showing how she uses humor to process major changes

  • Jiaolong offers up a lot of information readily, Weilan only asks about details, but Jiaolong tells her everything she needs to know.

  • Jiaolong asks Weilan if she has pets, she says no. Jiaolong tells her good, pets aren't allowed in the household for the time being, oh, says Weilan. Jiaolong explains that the old lord and lady of the house, MC's parents, did not like pets as they reminded them too much of slaves. The Count has no slaves and all the servants in the house are paid.

    • AN: This is true up to an extent, the parents did not like slaves. However Roulan is sort of a slave but secret. The MC is also more open to slavery than his parents were, and we'll see this development in the Yao Hong stories.
      • A bit of irony for how evil the MC is/will be?

For Weilan:

  • Excitement about belonging to MC mixed with anxiety about changes
  • Awareness of solfrey/commoner divide deepening
  • Processing how she'll become a sex object for him
  • How the equipment emphasizes her new status as property, a newly sexual being who's been a virgin up to now, excitement about finally becoming one, not having to just read about it in books.
  • Pride in catching his interest despite "trying" to look plain
  • Thoughts regarding her mother: Her mother wants the best for her and thought she wanted love. Since she insisted on marrying the other guy, the businessman, she thought that Weilan was in love despite Weilan not being able to describe it well (it was magical compulsion). So her mother was sad about it, sad that Weilan lost her love (not true).
  • Formal presentation robes, but she's half way between done up as pretty and not. In the sense that she's not supposed to be pretty, as it's supposed to make her easy to turn down, that's also what her mother expects, but she herself half-heartedly hopes for otherwise, and so did it sort-of. Though her outer robes are plain maybe she has elaborately beautiful inner robes; hair that was easy to pull down and look nice in, and seductive batting of eyelashes.
  • It is standard to appear unattractive, in fact appearing attractive is an insult to your commoner fiance when presenting to a solfrey. So in that Weilan's behavior is quite telling, but Jiaolong can just laugh or smirk, think it without saying anything. But Weilan knows that she knows.
  • As for the conversation with Jiaolong, Weilan should show her nervousness, but be more talkative, it'll be a nice contrast with her relative quietness with MC later
  • When she looks at the equipment in the room she has explicit thoughts and imaginations about herself in them. Describe this graphically to the utmost explicitness.

Weilan's deeper concerns emerge between the lighter moments:

  • Thinking of her mother's misplaced worry about her "lost love"
  • The reality of belonging to MC hitting her in waves
  • Her body's reactions to seeing the equipment surprising her
  • The contrast between her previous independent life and new status as property

From there, Weilan's personality emerges more naturally:

  • Making observations about the room that reveal both her intelligence and humor
  • Asking Jiaolong questions about protocols and procedures with genuine curiosity mixed with wit
  • Her "failed" attempt at plainness becomes a running joke between them
  • There should be more personality from Weilan after the joke

For Jiaolong:

  • Jiaolong kindly guides her to the chamber, and is overall very helpful and professional.
  • Admiring Weilan's exceptional beauty with a mix of admiration and envy, though Jiaolong herself is beautiful, Weilan is still exceptional
  • Jiaolong shares propaganda perspectives about how good it is to be a ji to comfort Weilan
  • Thinks about potential Miya rankings, her own position
  • Over-emphasizes (internally) how being "free" is better than being a Ji. Her own thoughts only mention how being free is better, how bad it is to be a ji. But it's so overdone that it gets into a "lady doth protest too much" territory. denials reveal her own complicated feelings about MC in subtext
  • Professional pride in helping prepare such a promising Ji
  • When Weilan shows her personality, Jiaolong thinks she's facing the situation with good humor, but doesn't know whether or not she's actually distressed, more like a, maybe oh she's going to be fine.
  • Jiaolong notices Weilan's interest in MC after seeing Weilan's inner robes after helping with her clothes. But it shouldn't be something they talk about, it's embarrassing for Weilan. Neither of them mention it, it's embarrassing. Jiaolong only thinks about how attractive MC is to most women.

Jiaolong focuses on immediate practical guidance:

  • How to present herself when MC arrives
  • Where to stand, how to move in the chamber
  • Basic protocols for addressing him
  • No long-term advice, just helping Weilan navigate this moment

The humor comes from Weilan's personality shining through her nervousness, rather than from the sexual elements. The equipment and chamber emphasize her new reality without being the focus of jokes.

  • Weilan asking surprisingly insightful questions while maintaining her light manner
  • Jiaolong and Weilan get to know each other with a legitimate curiosity, and make talk with a goal of becoming friends. They're probably going to be seeing each other a lot going forward. Both of them put each other at ease before Jiaolong leaves to her other duties.
  • Weilan and Jiaolong are both quite socially adept, Jiaolong is the social secretary so it is literally her job, she handles all the affairs with all of MC's women, and Weilan has learned from her mother, who's a successful professional who enjoys the patronage of many solfrey.
  • Weilan waits for you for about an hour before you arrive to see her
  • More of Weilan's suggestive observations about the chamber that lets Jiaolong relax too
  • Their discussion revealing both women's complicated feelings about service to a solfrey lord
  • Avoid making references to the library
  • There are several cultural details to the Ji process.
    • The tradition in piyse is to not change, bathe, or otherwise prepare when becoming a Ji after a Right of First Refusal. But to let the master disrobe her and take her as she is during the presentation. Jiaolong speaks at length about this, Weilan nods but doesn't interrupt her. At the end she may make some quips.
    • She's also to memorize the family whole family lineage of her new lord, including all the titles, exes, cadet branches, and concubines,Jiaolong is to explain why it's crucial, as a bonus extra credit should also read up on the family history too history of her new lord
      • The family history does not include Ji or other commoner slaves, of course
    • There's also a belief that the first night determines one's fortune as a Ji, Jiaolong explains why and how
      • Weilan makes a joke about finding the correct position among all the equipment for the most fortune.

Yaling comes to greet her:

  • She's very nice, says great things about her family, compliments her, and Weilan gets a very good impression of her.
  • she gives her some tips on how to be a good girl for mc.
    • When he moves your arms and places it behind your back, you leave it there, you don’t move it even if you spin around, bend over, if he opens your mouth and pulls out your tongue, you leave it open, leave your tongue out until he tells you to close it again.

Meeting MC: First we have "beforecare", which is like aftercare but done before to get her feeling safe and happy and horny and ready to be vulnerable and submit.

Sex:

  • Sticks her tongue out and licks herself in the mirror.

After sex MC debriefs with Yaling

  • Yaling reassures MC that she's totally fine with commoner Jis and doesn't feel like it's cheating.
